FESTIVAL OF SPIRITUALITY AND PEACE and MARY'S MEALS

Our Humanitarian Action:

While we discuss ways to change ourselves and our world millions of children are starving. Tens of thousands of children die each day because they did not have enough food. The Festival of Spirituality and Peace will make a practical contribution to the plight of starving and impoverished children in Africa by partnering with the Scottish based aid agency Mary's Meals.

It is hard to belive that it takes only £5.30 a year to support and feed a child in Malawi for a year. In Malawi Mary's Meals provides 160,000 children a day with a life sustaining meal. This food is provided at school and not only nourishes their growing bodies it helps them to think and to learn; all because these children are not having to think about where the next meal is coming from.

Your Contribution

Every ticket purchased for an event at our Festival will not only provide you with food for thought or nourish your spirit it will also feed a child at school in Malawi for a month!

So come to as many events as you can and if you can only come to one or two events then buy a ticket for a family member, a friend or even a stranger. One ticket helps a child in Malawi to take their own walk to personal freedom.

Our Call!

We call on all Edinburgh Festival Directors to consider doing what we have done. Why not do the same? If all the Edinburgh Festivals built in 50p, yes only 50P, to each ticket sold every year we could together feed and support a staggering 150,000 children in Malawi for a whole year; changing their lives and the future of their country for ever. We beg the question: WHY NOT!?
